I may leave later or earlier. But this work remains each moment of knowledge and experience. Hope, you would gain at least something from this.

Sick caused guilty
I was sick and slept in the room. |
Chiang Mai- It was the 8th day of my training in Thailand. Nevertheless, today, it turned out to a worst day ever I had during my time participating in this course. I actually felt I have caught a cold for a couple of days already but I just expected that I would be able to recover it soon since it was not a serious deal.
Unexpectedly, today was the worst ever. I got a very terrible cough for the whole day. I could not concentrate on my class; especially, the Movie class which I was absolutely interested in and it also was the one I completely have never learnt before.
What is more, my video’s group was supposed to go out for researching and interviewing the topic. We (my group’s member) all were about to go. Still, I immediately refused to leave since I did not think I felt well enough. I guessed I make the team disappointed since I did not fully participate.
On the other hand, they understood and kind to me a lot. They all treaded me so nice and warm. I was allowed to rest and some of my friends in the camp gave me pills. After taking medicine and relaxing, I feel touched. I just slept while the band was running. I was really guilty. I frankly wished I was complained rather getting care from everyone.

Unique Sunday night market in Chiang Mai
Creative and artistic stuff in Sunday night market |
The market crowed from the late evening until the midnight. It seemed the Khmer Water festival in Phnom Penh city, Cambodia. Anyway, Sunday market’s road was separated into two directions for going straight and back. In the middle of that long road, there were different kind of people such as old man, little girl, and even handicap people performing their talents. Some sing, play traditional Thai’s dam, violin, and guitar to get donations from the passengers going around. Also, we could figure out the Thai’s typical food nearly be. Last and most important point is that you are able to see the way of Thai’s people put their religious into practice since there were a couple of temples (pagodas) there. It might not be the same as Buddhism you esteem in your home country.

A faculty of CMU plans to corroborate with NUS
Dr. Sinsirichaveng gave interview of the faculty's process. |
Chiang Mai- Faculty of Mass Communication in Chiang Mai University will soon be having twinning programme with National University of Singapore (NUS) – the first among ASEAN countries.
However, faculty’s associate dean, Witoon Sinsirichaveng has concern about the level of the students in this moment since that is not a day project to reach the goal as the university needs more requirements to full fit.In the moment, the faculty is prioritizing the Grade Point Average (GPA) by keeping and specifying international standard.
“I do think exchanging students to study here is such the long term deals since both speaking and writing in the university content are in Thai. The university needs English speaking professors as well as English handouts and documents.” Jaruwan Supolrai, editor of Asean Youth Movement’s magazine said, “Otherwise, not only Singaporeans but also Thai students are not able to catch the studies during twinning programme.”
“Therefore, nowadays we are working on our planning,” added Sinsirichaveng, “We have had 2 Lao’s students studying here before.”Faculty of Mass Communication was established in 1964 but there had no many foreigners to students to study.
“I guess the 2 Lao’s guys might be able to speak Thai. That is why they could pursue their studies here.” Supolrai ended.
Adding that the university is trying to get other financial supports for his expenses since the government will not provide funds to the university anymore in the next 7 years according to the Chiang Mai University Act (2008).
Here is my second homework in the Journalism class during the Effective Communication Training, Chiang Mai, Thailand 2011.
Media memoir
When I was young, I seemed a blank paper. I did not know where to go and even what to do, just a little girl. Nevertheless, everyday my surrounding people inspired me by their personal habits especially my father. He loved listening to the radio so much. He turned it on almost every second all the day long. Therefore, every night, I always heard the daily news, fairy-tale, songs, and so on. Then, I automatically adapted to love radio by chance.
After I turned to 16 year-old, I got a part time job as a radio presenter unexpectedly. Actually, I did know nothing at that time beside my studied. However, since I used to listen to radio such a long period of time by my father and having such a talkative talent, I was able to run the show smoothly.
Later than a few months of being in the radio station, I figured out that I love media career in the way that it played the main role in society changing peacefully. Also, one of my producers performed really well in her work as a media practitioner. She showed me the Media’s value nowadays in my country as well as the world; particularly, she taught me the way of having a critical thinking. Thus, from that on, I built up my mind keeping her as my idol. Then, I committed myself to be a media person someday.
In this moment, some parts of my dream succeed in this field. I got the abroad exchange programs, international media conference, etc. Last but not least, I strongly believe that media’s field is very fit to me. What I am supposed to do right away is that keep improving myself, and then make the positive change for my community’s development.
This is the article that I was supposed to write as my first homework when I join Effective Communication Training in Chiang Mai, Thailand 2011.
